'Adopt a Resident'
Our Adopt a Resident program is where we are able to find someone who would like to commit to visiting one specific person so that they are able to connect on a more intimate level and form a lasting relationship. Regular visits, especially from a familiar face, is both healthy and life changing! Loneliness in nursing homes is unfortunately extremely common. This is a way we can help fill the gap where residents don't have family or friends visiting. Please prayerfully consider making an eternal impact on a life. 'Adopt a Room'
Here, we offer our volunteers the opportunity to help with decorating and furnishing a residents room. We simply ask the resident basic questions about what they like and dislike, from there we can decide what we need to make their space a more comfy and homey feel. Additionally, we have a storage area for the volunteer to have access to items for their residents room at no cost. Whether you are shopping for them or you are able to find things within our stock, together we will help make it a better place.
'Holiday Helping'
One of our favorite traditions is passing out gifts and baked goods to the residents at our local nursing homes on holidays. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring joy to those who may be feeling lonely during the holiday season. If you don't have the time to commit to a more extensive program, this may be the perfect place for you to get involved. Items will be provided, only your contagious smile is needed. Although, if you'd like to contribute, you're extremely welcome! You may love to bake and would just like to help in this area alone. We are so grateful for any and every way God has called you to be His Hands. Please contact us for future holiday opportunities.
'Creative'
If you have a unique gift or talent that you think might benefit our residents, please reach out. We are always looking for new and creative ways to involve the community in our efforts to make things better and enjoyable for them. Whether it’s through music, woodworking, hair styling or offering nail treatments, everyone has a role to play.
